401K hit $35K

May 23rd, 2014 at 07:24 pm

I checked my 401K balance today and it is up to $35K! Whoot! I was looking at my "retirement" topic entries and I saw last year in March, so only 15 months ago, I was at $25K and was excited for when my 401K balance would pass my age....oops guess I missed that milestone...lol. I am guessing that happened somewhere in the fall. Chugging along!

You're doing well and I suggest you track sums quarterly or semi annually if you prefer so that you know how much you've added in contributions and how much is increase in value of your holdings. If you don't have a date targeted program, it's helpful to know how each segment [equity, bond, international] is responding to the economy and your costs, fees MERs.
