Debt Update - 9/1/17

Celebrations for this update:
-$682.26 paid off in the last 2 weeks!

We were only $203.91 from going under the next $1000 mark, and this would be the 6th update in a row, so I considered just throwing the extra $205 against my mortgage (the only debt we can easily make extra payments on), but decided since that isn't our focus right now to just hold onto it and stick with the plan.

I'm receiving a $600 bonus next payday so hoping to put that whole amount in savings as cash flow finally seems to be leveling out after vaca.

Starting total was $587,351.27
$76,147.36 paid off since 6/19/15 (including downpayment on house)!!!!!

We have $2265 in a savings account to pay off the Mom Loan, so the amount we still owe that is $16,770.13.

    Great job! I was wondering why you are saving the money towards your Mom Loan versus pay her directly?

    Lindahfx - Neither of us wants to re-do the payment spreadsheet each month if we paid extra. So we are just saving up and paying her off all at once. If I really wanted to I sure could. We are hoping to pay her off before the end of the year, it will be close!
