I had a $10EB that I needed to use before we go on vacation at the end of July so I popped into CVS while we were in town this weekend. I didn't find any spectacular deals, but I did find these lipbalms on clearance, plus I had a $10 off of $50 purchase coupon so I used that too and got a decent deal on items that are easy to store and usually a quick resell. I rarely buy myself any non-essentials, most of my shopping is for resell items, so sometimes it's fun to find some deals for myself!

I receive these coupons somewhat regularly from JCP and they are super handy to get close to free items there! Herbergers was another story......there were so many restrictions it was crazy! The coupon couldn't be use on clearance, door buster sales, and a giant paragraph worth of other restrictions. I searched the store for over 30 mins before I finally found this cute little pink umbrella with hearts for $12.00. Used the coupon and paid $2.13 OOP. If I get those again from Herbergers I probably won't even use them!

Overall for the day I got $29.50 worth of items for $6.39 after tax!

My Mom and I both had $10 Kohl's Cash to use after that awesome small appliance deal we did, do we headed over to see what we could use it on. Wow the prices at Kohl's are soooooooooo expensive! There were so many racks and racks of clearance 60%-80% off, and still way more then I would ever pay!

We finally found some toys stuffed on the bottom of some clearance shelves that when we scanned came up 90% off!

So we used our Kohl's cash and my Mom had an extra 20% off card too, each toy was less then $1.00 after the Kohl's Cash! I will list the price before the Kohl's Cash since I already got "credit" for that $10 on the appliances purchase.

I won't be shopping at Kohl's much with prices like this, but I think we made the best purchases we could to not waste our Kohl's Cash!

Since I moved to my small town in 2014 I have been living off my stockpile and have not had to buy any TP or paper towels (amongst other stockpile items). We finally ran out of paper towels this week and are on our last pack of TP....so time to find a deal!

I just started using two new (to me) money saving apps!

Checkout 51 offers you cash back when you purchase specific grocery and household items, even beer! I downloaded the app a few days ago, and already made $4.50 on items I was purchasing anyways! Once you earn $20 in your online account, you can then cash out either via paper check or Paypal account. I am loving it so far! By stacking this with existing sales and coupons you can get some crazy good deals!!


Raise

Raise is an app to buy and sell giftcards. At this time I don't have any giftcards that I want to sell, but they offer GC discounted up to 17.2% for purchase right now! I am not sure how deep the discounts go, but this is a GREAT way to get instant savings if you know you are shopping at a specific store, you can save money before you even hit the aisles! Tons of popular shopping and eating destinations including CVS, Target and McDonalds!!! I have not made a purchase from them yet, but plan to soon!!

I had my first "personal shopping" experience! Back in October I sold a "The Nightmare Before Christmas" Tshirt to a Mom whose little girl LOVES Jack from TNBC. She was so excited for the shirt! This weekend I was at the mall in my home town, an hr away from the town I live in. I was picking up a few Christmas gifts and I also getting my biyearly cleaning on one of my necklaces. While I was waiting for my necklace to get cleaned I went into Hot Topic to check out their clearance and found these 2 super cute TNBC Hairbrushes on clearance, plus the clearance was BOGO Free! So I took a pic of them and messaged that customer if she would like them and she said yes so I picked them up for her and made a little profit! I was excited that I could make the sale before I committed to the purchase! Also when I dropped off the hairbrushes this morning the little girl was wearing the shirt they got from me in October.

MO and I went to town yesterday to run a bunch of errands and had a very productive day!

First we went to Lowes and got blinds for our bathroom (for the last year we have been living with a tension rod with a towel hanging over it...) as well as some lightbulbs for the basement. We had $75 in gift cards from last Christmas for Lowes so that covered all but about $30 of the bill. MO put the blinds up as soon as we got home and they look great!!


Next we hit the thrift store as we are both in need of some new pants. I found a pair of "like new" Maurice's Jeans for $10! This retail for $60+ so I was excited! MO didn't find any pants, but he did find some very nice shoes for work for $10 which was also a great deal!

Then we went to Scheel's as my work offers $200 per year for wellness that you can purchase wellness items and submit for reimbursement. We already have a treadmill and an elliptical and didn't really need anything but didn't want to waste the free $200, so w got a punching bag set that includes a set of gloves, a pullup bar, ab wheel, perfect pushup handle, 3 set of kettlebells, which left $14 remaining, so I grabbed a $14.99 resistance band. That's a lot of Free loot!!!! While we were there we also got one of my Bros BD and Christmas presents.


Then we stopped at Barnes and Noble there is a THM cookbook I wanted and I had $15 in gift cards for there so I used that and paid the $15 balance OOP.

Finally went and got BD and Christmas gifts for my niece and nephew so they are done for Christmas. I think I have about 30% of my gifts done.

Ended with my nieces BD party and some family time, very good and relatively cheap day between the gift cards and wellness reimbursement!

Today we are relaxing with football and getting some more laundry/cleaning done before Thanksgiving! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Oh my that is a LOT! The good news is I saved almost $70!

The cost for the food for our dog is $16.24 for a 15.5lb bag at our local store (there is only a grocery store and a hardware store to buy dog food in our small town).

I just ordered (8) 31.1lb bags from jet.com, total was $237.44, I got $10.64 off for ordering a larger quantity, and then 15% off ($34.08) for placing a new order today (I assume this is for everyone?). No shipping and no tax! So total for 248.8lbs of dog food was $192.72! (Instead of $260 at the grocery store!) Plus MO will be happy he doesn't have to lug the bags of dog food home all the time. I believe this will last us about 10 months.

I don't think jet.com is always the cheapest option, but it is working good for us for dog food!
