$20K Update

My portion from the nailpolish sales was $47.50, I rounded it up to $55 and added that to My Savings. Should be able to put a large deposit in savings on the 8/1/14, since I don't have to pay my mortgage for August I should be able to put at least $500 into savings.

    You do a really good job managing money so I hesitate offering a gentle suggestion that you make an August payment directly to principal since any bit you can shave off principal saves a lot of interest in the long run because of how amotorization tables work. Even gentler suggestion that profits from your rummage/CVS sales be given a job. I'd let sums accumulate to say ea. ...$ 200. and use for direct to principal payment.

    Would you consider giving overtime earnings 'special' designation like Vacation Fund or Home Maintenance Fund, for example?

    I am impresses with how organized you are with your money, and this is another reason for you to be proud of yourself. Even during such a difficult time as you have been having, you are still being so responsible, and careful with your money.     Thanks for the suggestions snafu! I am still going over a lot of scenarios in my head for how I want to push savings up and the mortgage balance down. Today is house closing, so after today I will know exactly how much I have in savings and debt and then I can come up with a Plan of Attack! Always appreciate your comments and suggestions!
