Week Three
Pounds Lost this week = -2
Total pounds lost = 3.6
% weight loss = 2.05%
Place = 2nd out of 4 people
Pretty happy with this week. I watched my food and even went running at the gym twice. I am 2.4lbs away from getting under the next 10lb mark....I would LOVE to make it under that by next weeks weigh in. So gonna try super hard. I have volleyball tomorrow night and really busy the rest of the week, but should be able to go to the gym Saturday afternoon (but I work 9 hours at bingo that night...so we will see if I have enough energy) but for sure will be able to go Sunday and get a good workout in.
Gotta keep my eye on the prize!

If you use any stamps at all, make sure you stock up today! Stamp prices go up tomorrow from .44 to .45 each. I don't use stamps very often since the majority of our bills are paid automatically with our Discover Card, but of course there occasionally is a rebate, card, or letter that I need a stamp for. The last time I bought stamps was 5/11/08. I bought 100 forever stamps (kept the receipt) for .41 and still have 14 of those left. So now I bought another 100 @ .44 each and those should last me about 4 years since we still have some of the last batch left. I know it's only pennies, but they all add up!

Stillllllllllllll waiting for 2 more W2s (we had 4 this year), our HSA statement and our interest statements from our banks. Normally I would use what I already have to get started on Turbotax....but been so busy between work, OT, second job, and now I am also playing on a volleyball team....busy, busy, busy. So I think I will just wait till we get the forms and do it all at once.
All of the tax money is going into savings (not sure which account yet) so I can't wait to see if/what we are getting back.

We started the Biggest Loser again for 2012. Only 4 people in it this time. $10 per person so the winner will get $40. It ends the week before I go to Vegas, so I am hoping to lose 10 more pounds (lost 7lbs in the last round) by the end. Then I would be down almost 20 lbs and that would feel great!!
After the first week I am in last place, but I weighed myself today and I was down 4 more lbs from last weeks weighin, so I just need to be good for 2 more days till the next weigh in and I should be in first this week.
Last night I was working at Bingo and everyone was getting an order together for McDonalds, but I said no and ate the Lean Cuisine I had brought. Win for $$ and win for my waist! So proud of myself while everyone ate their greasy cheeseburgers!

We got our company HSA deposit today of $600! Yeah! Now our HSA is up to $6800! Super excited about that! Between our $125 deposit per paycheck and the incentives I get for entering my healthy eating and workout points we should get over $10K by the end of the year! Makes me feel so secure to know that even if somethihg horrible happened we would have enough in our HSA to pay for it.

We have been planning a big group trip to Vegas for about 2 yrs now for my little bros 21st Birthday and my husband's 30th Birthday. Finally it is almost here! We have about 15-20 people that are going. We will be going in March and we have been watching flights like crazy trying to get a good price. We were able to get them for $89.99 on the way there and $114.99 on the way back, which I am super happy with. The prices had been really high, sometimes over $200 each way, so I think we did good. DH just started getting paid for coaching track (which he won't actually start coaching until mid Feb) and we are going to use his first 2 track checks to pay for the flights so we don't have to take any out of our Vegas savings yet.
We are only taking one bag, so that will save us $50 in baggage fees, and we also went to the airport to book the flights, so saved $15 a piece on online convenience fees by doing that. We are still working on the hotel, I think DH is going to be in charge of that part.

So I never play pulltabs....(if you don't have pulltabs where you live they are 3 little pieces of paper that are attached together, you buy then for $1 a piece and then you open them up to see if you won any money.....which I never play or win)...I think they are super boring and not fun at all. But last night DH and I were at the bar with some friends and a couple of the friends were really into pulltabs and were saying how one of the jars still had a lot of winners left in it, and not too many pulltabs left. They have a sign that says how many winners are left in there that are over $50 each. There were 35 winners left for over $50 each. It always looks like there aren't that many tickets left cause they are so little....but in reality there were probably like 1000 or more tickets still in the jar. So I bought into that and was playing with them...I bought $20, won nothing. I gave my husband $20 to go try, won nothing. Another friend said lets try together and if we win anything we will split it....so we each put in $40, won nothing. So by now I feel like am idiot but I am also drinking and thinking we HAVE to win cause the jar is so empty.....well my friend didn't want to play anymore, so I said to my husband, I am going to get $100 out of the ATM and I am going to buy 100 pulltabs, then I will quit. He said ok. So I bought the 100 pulltabs...I opened a $50 winner. I thought ok, now I will keep that and at least I got "some" of my money back. I kept opening them hoping to get another $50 or something. I got all the way down to my very LAST pulltab..ticket #1 $100, $100, $100 ticket #2 $100, $100, $100 ticket #3 $200, $100, $100.....equals $1000!!!!!! OMG!!!! I won $1000! There is only 1 $1000 winner in the entire jar of tickets and I am not sure how many tickets they start with.....maybe 5000 or 10000 or more? I was totally freaking out, I just couldn't believe it! Of course I was not up $1000 since I had already put in about $180, but I am so excited, I have never won anything that big at once before! I also gave our friend $100. But don't worry, I won't be addicted to pulltabs, I still think they are boring.

We did the biggest loser again at work. We started in October and this last Tuesday was the last day. I won! I lost 7lbs and won $50! Normally I would do the updates on here, but just didn't get around to doing it. We are going to do another round in January so I will try to keep the weekly updates on here. Not sure what I am going to do with my $50 yet....

We only had $470 in the EF....I transferred all of that so the EF is at $0. The other $830 I borrowed from my retirement hold account. So when we have more to put in savings that needs to be the first thing to be paid back....but I know we will go down more before we go up since this doesn't even include the car repair/Christmas bills yet. 2 steps forward, one step back is ok with me as long as we are going in the right direction in the long run.

My heater had not been working in my car for a few weeks and my radio wasn't working again. I paid over $500 back in June to have my body control module replaced. Now I needed a new thermastat, intake manifold and water pump. Nice Christmas gift huh! $900 later my heat and radio are working....but I am going to have to get a new radio because there is something wrong with this one and it keeps sucking my battery and now the CD player is not working...so frustrating! So we just got to $15K, but it will be very short lived due to Christmas and this massive car repair. Why can't we get away from 14K! It's baffling!

Kohls
I got a coupon in the mail for Kohls, $10 off any $10 purchase. Normally when I get these type of coupons I try to find something for around $10 so I don't have to pay much OOP. But as I was shopping I found several good deals, and decided to spend a little on myself since I have been working so hard with all this OT and Bingo hours. While I was standing in line to checkout I found a 20% off coupon on the floor! That saved me an extra $10.76!

Not a lot in the add for this week. They do have Combos that are free after EB, but my store was out, so I will have to get a raincheck for those.
I did find a good deal on Blistex Lipbalm.

I got 2 checks in the mail, one for me and one for DH. Both checks were for $18.04 from Currency Conversion Fee Anitrust Litigation. I vaguely remember sending something in for this a looooooooong time ago.....the check is actually in my maiden name and we have been married for almost 5 years...so a looooong time ago.. So the total is $36.08, I rounded up to $40 and put it in the Vegas savings account. We thought we had enough for our trip, but it looks like the flights are going to cost us a lot more then they had in the past, so we need to put some more in there before we go in March.

It seems I forgot to mention it on here, but my work has been giving crazy amounts of overtime for about 5 weeks now. We are able to work up to 10 OT hours a week. This is pretty close to impossible due to the hours that we are open, and me having Bingo as well....but I have been putting in about 5-7 hrs a week in OT for the last several weeks. My job usually has occasional OT, but this amount is unheard of. I asked my boss how long she thought we would have this OT and she said we can expect to be offered 10 hrs per week through March!! OMG! The money is nice, but I am definitely starting to feel burned out. Hopefully I can find a happy balance between working some OT and not going insane...lol. I have the whole week off after Christmas, so they should help me recharge. This week I was able to get in 9hrs of OT because they let us come in Saturday and do some trainings. Can't wait to see my check...$$$$$!
