Awesome Target Deals this Week!

July 31st, 2014 at 03:09 pm

My Mom hooked me up with these deals! I was feeling like I didn't have much to sell at the rummage sale since I had been selling so much on FB, but now I got a lot more inventory!

It's a little confusing to track, but I will do my best!

$139.88 worth of products for $14.88!!

I could have purchase more of the Thickening Tonic, which had a way higher starting price then the other products, but I wasn't sure on how easy/fast that would sell, so I just got 4 of them and got bottles of shampoo/conditioner for the rest.

One Million Hits!!

July 29th, 2014 at 07:29 pm

My blog hit 1 Million Hits today! COOL! Thanks everyone for reading and commenting!!

Mini update on me in response to a Q on my last post.

We are waiting for paper work to be finalized for the divorce, I haven't actually filed it yet as we are waiting for the house to be done so we can accuratley record the amounts in the different accounts for XH and I. House closes in 2 days, hoping to file the papers the first week of August, then just waiting on the courts. I have essentially been "alone" for 10 months now....been feeling "alone" for over 2 years before that...and DH moved out 3 months ago. I still feel a lot of sadness for everything lost, but I am finding out that happiness is out there for me, I don't have to feel sad, lonely and depressed...my happiness needs to be a priority now as I never made it one before, and I am not going to let anyone else's perceived "time line" of how long I should grieve this relationship effect me. I am ready to be happy NOW!

Also got 5 missed calls in a row and a drunk VM from XH last night.....so it's not too hard to move on anymore when he clearly still doesn't care to get help for his drinking. I am afraid he is going to be alone forever as an alcoholic who can't have children is not a big selling point when looking for a date....but you can't help someone that won't help themselves, and I can't be in charge of him and his problems anymore. I need to look out for myself and my well being, he only brings me down. I have learned a lot from Al Anon, and BF is a wonderful help in healing as he also had a divorce where he felt alone for years and understands what it is like.

BF = Super Seller!!

July 29th, 2014 at 02:12 pm

After I spent the weekend up at BFs house I came back home and then Monday morning he texted me that I had forgotten my bin of "For Sale" nail polishes at his house. He is coming down Monday for softball so he can just bring it down to me then....then a few hrs later I get a text "How much are you selling these for? I am going to try to sell some for you." HUH?? So I tell him, $3.00 each or 4 for $10....he texts me a short time later....he sold $40 worth....WHAT?! And then $50....and then $60....!!!! WOWO! So he sold 24 polishes, 6 of the 4 for $10 deals!

Then he came down that evening for softball and hands me $60! Yeah!!! Apparently his employees (lots of younger/HS age girls) were pretty excited about the polishes...I was a little worried that he would get in trouble for selling stuff at work, but apparently one of the people that bought some polishes was the owner of the store! So whoo hoo for that, and could he be any sweeter?? #bestbfever

$20K Update - Continuing to disperse joint savings and Roomate Update

July 22nd, 2014 at 01:07 pm

I consolidated our 8 ING Savings accounts into 1 account. More progress towards getting things done. Dispersed another $5000 to me and $5000 to XH. So just $6055 left to divy up and we won't do that until the house closing is done and he will be paying me for his half of the refi costs.

Also finally heard back from the potential roomate and she is not moving in, which at this point is honestly a relief that she said no as she was seeming less and less reliable since she took so long to respond to my texts.

I have another friend that I know would be more reliable etc., my concern with asking her first is she has a small dog. I know she is very responsible with her animal and would be very careful that nothing happened to my house etc. because of her pet, but accidents happen with animals and I am NOT a dog person at all (childhood attack). But I think if we have rules in place right away then that would be fine. The roomate would essentially have the entire basement to themselves, so we could put a baby gate at the bottom of the steps so that when she isn't home the dog is contained to that area. I will be reaching out to her today to see if she is even interested at all.

*ETA - Went and added another $30 to My Savings to control my numbers OCD. Since I won't have to pay the mortgage for August I will have a little more wingle room for things like this for one month. Smile

Closing date is set for the house and other updates on me

July 18th, 2014 at 07:27 pm

The closing date is set for the house for 7/31. Many mixed feelings in regards to that. Happy to be getting it done and another piece in the puzzle in place towards moving on in my life. Sad and solemn for another step towards that part of my life being over forever.

For the most part been doing good. Lots of fun new activities with BF. Going to Lady Antebellem concert tonight! Still hard moments and days for sure. BF is helping me work through things and it is nice to have support, though sometimes I do have to remind him that I am still broken and cannot be as excited and happy for the new cause I am still very much mourning the old. Had a breakdown a few days ago(just a lot of junk fell on me on one day)....but previously those were daily and I haven't had one in a month....so definitely going in the right direction.

I have most of the divorce papers filled out. Will be working on those more again this weekend and plan to file them immediatley after the house closing.

I cancelled my old direct deposit and set up the new one, so my paycheck is going into my own checking account instead of the joint account.

The potential roomate seems pretty flaky and has not been getting back to me, which is weird cause she came and looked at it and loved it and I ran into one of her friends and she said "Oh yeah she called me and told me how excited she was to move in..etc." So not sure what that is about, but I am going to start looking into other options for a roomate.

NINE more FB Sales!!

July 9th, 2014 at 08:27 pm

FB Sales have been going great! I really haven't been posting too much on there, but when I do, I seem to get hits quickly! These are my sales from 6/16/14 through today.

When I went and stayed with MF over the 4th of July weekend he had to work so I brought some of my stuff with to work on while he was at work and found that the small town he lives in had a FB sale site, so I posted what I had with me (just some make-up) on there, and made a $20.50 Sale! I also had a 2nd sale set up for $28, but that buyer didn't show. So pretty excited that when I am up visiting him I have a new clientele! It is a very small town (less then 3000 people) and they have pretty limited options on the kinds of things (make-up, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash) that I sell. May be a nice little niche for me!

Slim pickins at CVS

July 9th, 2014 at 12:34 pm

Haven't seen much of anything at all in the CVS add the last few weeks....which is too bad cause I have been selling a lot on FB and we will be having a rummage sale next month, so I would like more inventory!

I had a $3.00 EB I needed to use this week, but no good deals in the add, so I wandered around the store a little bit to see what I should use it on and found these Listerine PocketPaks for 75% off! So at least I got good use out of it!

Listerine PocketPaks (Bought 6)
Regular Price $1.99 Each
-$1.50 Sale Price Each
Final Price .49 Each (Free on CVS GC)
(Marked $1.00 Each for rummage sale)
*ETA - Sold all 6 for $1.00 each at 9/4/14 rummage sale
Profit = $6.00

$20K Update - Biggest Loser Money

July 8th, 2014 at 12:45 pm

Now that I have my own savings set up I added my Biggest Loser Winnings. Once everything is split I should still have about $16K or more in savings. Crazy to think only a few years ago it seemed impossible to get to that number with 2 people working towards it and now I have that much on my own! Hoping once everything is done that I can keep moving forward somehow to get to $20K on my own.

Personally things are going ok. I really do like my new guy a lot, but still feel sad and cry often. He is obviously aware of the situation and that I am not in great working order right now. I just hope he is patient enough and can understand that it may be a long time before I can be fully functioning as someone else's GF.

Have a wedding out of state this weekend and am looking forward to getting away from everything a bit, however, not excited for my first wedding alone and my first wedding since the split.

July 2014 Mortgage Payment, House Appraisal and FEELING HAPPY!

July 5th, 2014 at 05:36 pm

July 2014 Mortgage Payment

Balance $89,800.00
+$205.79 Interest
-$1218.88 Regular Payment
-$86.91 Principle Payment
New Balance $88,700.00

Only paying extra on the principle to keep things at nice even numbers.

The appraisal came in at $243K....$33K HIGHER then we estimated. We bought our house in 2007 for $160K....WOW! SUCKS cause we are in such a great position now with savings and the house value having gone up so much...but I am SO MUCH HAPPIER now.

My new man friend is wonderful, takes care of me, spoils me, makes me feel appreciated. I know it's very, very early, but for now I am just so happy and thankful to have someone in my life that wants me to be happy. My family, friends and coworkers have all been commenting so much on how nice it is to see me smiling again. Smile And last week he sent me flowers... Smile I haven't gotten flowers in 11 1/2 YEARS!

Long Weekend = Blog Monster!

July 4th, 2014 at 05:27 pm

Finally going to get caught up on my blog this weekend! I am staying with my new man friend for the 4th, he has to work during the day, but I am excited to have someone to watch fireworks with! He lives about 90 min away, so I packed up my car with lots of paper work, filing and what not to get done and am now relaxing with some CABLE while I get my work done!

Hope everyone has a great Independence Day!
