$20K Update - The new air conditioning is in!!

The new AC system (Mini Split) is in and it feels wonderful! We are all sleeping a lot better, especially baby! I can also carry or wear baby around the house without worrying about being covered in sweat. It is definitely worth the cost. We have not gotten the bill yet, but expect it soon.

We recently paid off the Store Loan (see Debt Update posts) and we were moving the $100 per paycheck that was paid on that to go towards lowering the balance on Rental Mortgage #1, but since we are taking a huge hit to savings, we decided it would be best for now to funnel that money to savings instead until we are back to a better total. So now every MO Payday we will have an auto deposit of $150 instead of $50. Once we are back up to $15K or so we can move it back towards debt payoff instead.

    A/c is a blessing, that's for sure! I remember all the years growing up not being able to sleep because of being hot and sweaty and then being so exhausted. Glad you could put it in and can enjoy it!

    Lucky Robin - I had never heard of it before this either....as Carol stated it is ductless air conditioning. Basically we have a unit in our living room, our bedroom and babies room. They are WAY quieter then a normal window AC (can barely hear it at all) and much more efficient. No more having to sit in front of the AC to stay cool!
