One Million Hits!!

July 29th, 2014 at 12:29 pm

My blog hit 1 Million Hits today! COOL! Thanks everyone for reading and commenting!!

Mini update on me in response to a Q on my last post.

We are waiting for paper work to be finalized for the divorce, I haven't actually filed it yet as we are waiting for the house to be done so we can accuratley record the amounts in the different accounts for XH and I. House closes in 2 days, hoping to file the papers the first week of August, then just waiting on the courts. I have essentially been "alone" for 10 months now....been feeling "alone" for over 2 years before that...and DH moved out 3 months ago. I still feel a lot of sadness for everything lost, but I am finding out that happiness is out there for me, I don't have to feel sad, lonely and depressed...my happiness needs to be a priority now as I never made it one before, and I am not going to let anyone else's perceived "time line" of how long I should grieve this relationship effect me. I am ready to be happy NOW!

Also got 5 missed calls in a row and a drunk VM from XH last night.....so it's not too hard to move on anymore when he clearly still doesn't care to get help for his drinking. I am afraid he is going to be alone forever as an alcoholic who can't have children is not a big selling point when looking for a date....but you can't help someone that won't help themselves, and I can't be in charge of him and his problems anymore. I need to look out for myself and my well being, he only brings me down. I have learned a lot from Al Anon, and BF is a wonderful help in healing as he also had a divorce where he felt alone for years and understands what it is like.

Hello BG, So glad to read that you are feeling and doing better. You have been through a very stressful time. Glad to see taht you are taking care of yourself, and being able to move on. Wishing you the best..

Agreed, you shouldn't hold back from having a nice relationship because of some phantom time period to get over things. If it's a rebound you'll find that out soon enough; if it's the real thing you'll be glad you didn't hesitate!

I just hope he's not drinking or drugging and driving. Otherwise, someone could get hurt or killed because of his stupidity.

  4. Maranatha Says:

I'm so happy that you are happy BG. You deserve to be treated well and respected. You've been through so much and tried every way you knew how to make things with XH work out. I imagine he's figuring out just how big a loss and what a mistake he's made. You deserve to be happy, I'm so glad BF is making you happy and treating you as you should be treated and in the way that you deserve!

{{{Hugs}}}. lots of changes and moving forward while X remains a manipulative alcoholic, in denial, still trying to keep you off balance. He's still totally self absorbed. You anticipate the house paperwork completing and I'm hoping you're maintaining a check off list for your new chapter.

    Mean, old me visualizes August as prime to tie up old, loose ends, quietly marked DONE. All X stuff out, memorabilia of the past 7 years boxed & into secondary storage, the possession of all keys and garage door openers, changes to health care ins., house and car insurance holiday plans, update side bar, all bills paid up-to-date. Review & adjust legal documents like Will, Advance Directive, and durable power of attorney [POA}

Hope you understand these random thoughts are meant to protect you

sorry, sentence contracted and went to cypberspace....

change designated beneficiary life insurance, 401K, ROTH. Open accounts in your name, double check joint CC, bank a/cs, loans, legal documents are up to date and correct.

  7. Banker Gurl Says:

    Thanks everyone!

And thanks Snafu - I can use your response as a start to my checklist! I have gotten many things changed/updated, but many left to do. Still feels quite overwhelming, but getting them done, one by one.

  8. Miz Pat Says:

You are doing so well! You have gone through so much and grown so much! I am so glad for you! God bless you, my dear.

  9. tabs Says:

    Congrats on your hits!

I am sorry to hear about your loneliness and divorce. At least now, you will be free to find your own happiness out there.
