Papers are signed!

October 5th, 2010 at 06:07 pm

We finally signed the papers today so we are officially at 3.75% for 15 years! The mortgage provider also gave us a $25 giftcard to a local resteraunt for refinancing with them. Smile After we signed the papers they gave us our copies.......but they didn't give us an amortization schedule....so I asked if we could have one and the mortgage guy was all surprised....he was like "Oh you want that?" UMMMM YES! Guess I am a big weirdo for wanting to know where we are at on our payoff. Smile So he is going to mail me an amortization schedule because they didn't even have one there. PUMPED! Smile

Congratulations!! That is a great rate and I'm a bit jealous sitting at 6%, but refinancing is not an option since we could be moving in a year. I just need to hope for a low rate on the next house!

That's a great rate! Congrats! Oh and if you go to bankrate.com they have a link for amortization schedules where you just type in your apr, loan amount, term and it'll give you the schedule. Also you can see what happens if you make extra payments and such. Pretty cool. Smile

And I thought I had a great rate at 4.5%. Ohh, I am so jealous. Race you to the finish line.

Hey, if I may ask, how much were your closing costs? We are about to try refinancing as well.

Wow that is great. I am at 4.5 for 30, but hope to pay off much sooner. Oh I just realized so is Campfrugal. Okay I will race! Except I am unemployed.....
