I came home yesterday from work to see BF's truck in the driveway...I was very confused as he had no plans to come down that day and he hadn't told me he was in town (he lives about an hr away)...I went inside thinking he just got off of work early and decided to come see me...and what do I find??? BF has bought and installed this beautiful brand new dishwasher for me! Isn't it awesome!




What a great present (for no reason?!)! I did need a new dishwasher, mine has been leaking water onto the floor for a long time, somewhere around a year or so, so everytime I used it I had to put a towel down and sadly it was starting to warp the flooring...and a few days ago I turned it on and then left the house and when I got home it smelled like something was burning and the smell was coming from the dishwasher...yikes! So I was super excited. Can't believe how lucky I am to have found such a sweet, caring, funny, sexy, amazing man!!

I paid my home insurance for the year ($1335.00)and my car insurance which is bi-yearly ($165.55). I took the money for the home insurance out of savings. I am hoping I can swing the money for the car insurance out of checking. I still have another car repair I need to do ASAP, so may be going down more....but BF and his Dad were going to see if they could do the repair. That would certainly help me a lot!

I bought some Nexium and sold it to my coworker on my lunch break...not a huge profit, but a nice turnaround for 10 mins! My Mom also got the same coupon from the coupon machine, so she sold hers to my coworker as well. We made $4.12 each and my coworker saved $33.98 off the retail price of 2 boxes!

I think I can swing paying for the hot tub cover ($300) without taking out of savings, but the car repair is too high, so had to take out for that....oh well, that is why we have savings!

BF knows I have a major passion for savings and we have discussed it and decided to open a joint savings account. Nothing crazy, just $25.00 per paycheck from each of us, so $100 per month. We have some lofty goals for the future, and this will be a baby step towards those!

We also had $35 in change from our trip to Laughlin, so we will use that when we open it along with our initial $25 each.

Don't worry, we aren't putting anything else together yet, and everything we put into this account will be equal.

Previously I have always made my principle payments monthly when I make my normal monthly payment. But my bank makes it so easy to make principle payments at anytime online....so I thought I might as well take advantage of that and knock a little balance off here and there when I can. I had $88 sitting at home from FB sales that I was going to put in savings...I added a lil extra and paid it on the principle today.
For some reason my numbers were just slightly off when I made my last regular and principle payments to my balance was $167,999.27 instead of the $168,000.00 that I thought it would be. So I paid down to $167,900.00.

Continuing to get things done on the post-divorce "To Do" List. Got XH removed from my health insurance. I was waiting until he had his own coverage in place before I removed him, and due to the untimely deaths of his grandmother and mother that was delayed, but he finally had coverage as of 10/1/14, and so I had his termination backdated to that day and I will get a small refund in my paycheck for the premium. Now my health insurance is just me so will completely free. The only thing I pay is for vision and that is $4 a month which is well worth it for my glasses or contacts each year.

Last night was my and BFs last night of coed softball, we ended the season at 9-3! Good year and a very fun team! We plan on having a softball party at my house next weekend so that will be fun!

I went pheasant hunting for the first time this weekend. No one in my family hunts, so BF is introducing me to a lot of new things! It was pretty fun and very nice weather considering it is October. We got one (he actually shot 2, but one landed in a sun flower field and we couldn't find it) and BF make me "pheasant nuggets" (as opposed to chicken nuggets). It was very tasty!
