I have been posting items on FB for sale, and a coworker recently saw my posts and asked me to bring her some items to buy. She told me a bunch of the brands she uses and asked me put together a box of things worth about $60-$80 for her to buy! I was super excited! I wasn't sure if I would have $60-$80 worth of stuff that she would want to buy, but I just packed up a box with a bunch of different items, mostly CVS purchases, a few things from my personal stockpile that I thought she might be interested in, and the movies that I just bought from someone else on FB.....she ended up buying $202 worth of merchandise!!! ($8.50 of it was items that my Mom and Bro had mixed with my rummage sale stuff) So in less then a week I have made $240.50!! I have 2 more potential buyers on bodywash I am waiting for pick up on!
The best part was that I sold all of the DVDs that I just bought this weekend and I made a $64 profit on those! Nice, quick turnaround! Selling on FB is turning into a nice little supplemental income for me! Now I just need to restock because my inventory is bare!!

I did the deal three times, and I had 1 CVS Coupon to use on bodywash, so I listed this twice as once I got the 4 for $1.00 each and then the other two times I got them for $1.50 each since I didn't have a coupon.

I love finding new, useful ways to use something that would have otherwise been thrown away. For any of you that go to CVS and scan your card at their coupon machine, you know that you may get many coupons that you do not need/want. Then you have all of these little pieces of paper that you don't need, and no one else can use the coupons because they have to be used with your CVS card. I hate throwing them away, such a waste of paper.
For the past few months I have been keeping those coupons, waiting till I have a little stack of 10 or so (this usually only takes one trip to CVS to get this many) I then put them all upside down (there is nothing printed on the backs of the coupons) and I staple them all together, making a nice little notepad! I keep the little stacks on my desk and use them when I need to make a note or need scratch paper. They are very nice and conveniant because when I no longer need the top sheet, I can just rip it off since they are stapled together. I also let me coworkers know if they need any scratch paper I have lots.
**If anyone from CVS should ever read my blog** It would be awesome if you would let us view on the screen what coupons are available that day, and then we could just print out the ones we want. Save the Earth some trees and garbage, and save you some Dollars in the process!! Win for everyone!

Total for everything pictured was a profit in my pocket of $1.57!!
I had some $3.00 off Biore manufacturer coupons that I wanted to use. I wasn't sure where to go to find a good price where I could get some cheap/free items. I decided to check at Kmart since it is close to my work. I never shop at Kmart because I have bad, bad, bad customer service there, long, slow lines and our store seems very dingy. Not a fan. But I went in and checked it out and found some Biore Make-up Removing Towelettes for $2.74, plus they are BOGO 50% off - Perfect! So I got 2 and took them to the register.
Here is what I think I will be doing:
Biore Make-up Removing Towelettes
(1) $2.74 Regular Price
(1) $1.37 (50% off)
-$3.00 Mfr Coupon
-$3.00 Mfr Coupon
= -$1.89
So I anticipate I will pay $0, or may have to pay tax
But I get rang up, by a "Customer Service Supervisor" and she tells me my total is $1.57. HUH? I say, "That doesn't sound right, both of the items are under $3.00, and I have 2 $3.00 coupons. How are you getting $1.57" She says, "Well one of the was $2.74 and one was $1.37 and then I took off your two coupons and it come to $1.57". ???? Were you even listening to what you were saying? That doesn't add up at all? So she looked it again and then said, "Oh I guess the 2nd coupon didn't come off." So she adjusted it and then the total said
-$1.57. Perfect, now I won't pay anything. I anticipate she will give me my receipt. Instead she hands me my receipt....and $1.57 in cash out of the register!! WHAT?! That was new for me! I don't know if this is a normal Kmart policy, but I have never been actually handed cash when I am at the register. If your total is $0 or negative, then you just get it free here (ND), I am thinking that was not the correct way for her to handle that....and she was the supervisor?? Well anyways, I was pumped about the deal!
So the Biore Make-Up Removing Towelettes came out to a profit of .78 for one and .79 for the 2nd!!
(Marked $1.50 each for the rummage sale)
*ETA - Sold 2 for $1.50 each at 9/5/13 rummage sale

I also got some Biore at CVS, but was only able to get one. One day they let me use the coupons, and the next day I got a manager who said I couldn't use them since the amount on the coupon was more then the amount of the product. Really wish they would all be trained the same on the coupon policies.

Ok so here is the deal I was planning to do on the Herbal Essences:
Herbal Essences Shampoo or Conditioner 10.1oz
Regular Price $3.99 each
Sale Price 2/$5 ($2.50 each)
-$2.50 Mfr BOGO Free coupon
*$1.00 EB for buying 2 (limited to 1 per card)
= $1.50 for 2, or .75 per bottle
But here is the deal I acually ended up getting
Regular Price $3.99 each (Bought 22 bottles, $87.88 total)
Sale Price 2/$5 ($2.50 each, $55.00 total)
-$54.89 ($4.99 x 11) BOGO Free coupons
*Receive $11 EB ($1 for every 2 bottles purchased)
Final Price $10.89 Money Maker!!
(Keeping 2 for myself and selling the other 20, marked for $2.00 each for the rummage sale)
If I sell them all that would be a profit of $40.00 (20 bottles x $2.00)+$10.89 = $50.89!!
*ETA - Sold 11 bottles for $2.00 each at 8/23/13 rummage sale
*ETA - Sold 7 bottles for $2.00 each at 9/5/13 rummage sale
*ETA - Sold 2 bottles for $2.00 each on 6/16/14 on FB
Total Profit = $50.89!!
I was only planning on getting 2 bottles for the .75 each since you were only supposed to get the EB deal once per card, and the coupon should have taken off $2.50. But the coupons ended up taking off $4.99 instead of $2.50 and for some reason the EB printed everytime I bought 2, instead of just the once!
So I came out with 22 bottles of shampoo conditioner and I made $10.89!! SUPER DEAL!
I had about 20 of the BOGO Free coupons, I used 11 and gave the rest to my Mom and she also cashed in on this deal.

This week at CVS they had a lot of their makeup marked 50%-75% off!! There was also a $2.00 off Revlon Eye, Lip or Face Makeup coupon printing at the CVS Coupon Machine. So that made a lot of items FREE, or less then .50 each! I went everday since Monday and used both my card and DHs card.
12 items
RETAIL COST = $101.68
MY COST = $1.42

CVS has marked a lot of their make-up 50%-75% off to make room for summer shades. So that makes a lot of items about $2.00 - $3.00 each.
If you scan your card at the CVS coupon machine you may get a coupon for $2.00 off any Revlon Lip, Eye or Face Makeup.
I got one on each of my cards everyday this week starting on Monday, so 8 so far. I found items that were $1.99-$2.30 each before the coupon, so have been getting everything for under .30. So far I have scored $64 worth of makeup for less then $1!
I don't wear makeup, but this will be great to add to my rummage sale inventory for this cheap!
Once I have gotten all my coupons for the week I will post my deals, but wanted to get this deal up while there was still time for everyone to cash in!

I stopped into CVS and was using my own bag, so showed my Greenbag Tag. (If you aren't familiar with the GBT, once a day at CVS you can have the GBT scanned if you are using your own bag, and then after 4 scans, the coupon machine prints you out a $1.00 EB) The cashier informed me that they are no longer using the GBTs and they would buy mine back from me for $2.00. I really liked that program, I think it was awesome to do something to help the enviroment and loved the extra $1.00 I got every once in a while.
At least I got the $2.00 back.
