I receive these coupons somewhat regularly from JCP and they are super handy to get close to free items there! Herbergers was another story......there were so many restrictions it was crazy! The coupon couldn't be use on clearance, door buster sales, and a giant paragraph worth of other restrictions. I searched the store for over 30 mins before I finally found this cute little pink umbrella with hearts for $12.00. Used the coupon and paid $2.13 OOP. If I get those again from Herbergers I probably won't even use them!

SUCH a better experience at BABW! A sales clerk saw me holding my coupons while I was shopping and let me know I can use the 20% coupon ON TOP of the $5.00 lotion coupon! So great! So I got a travel size body wash for free, and the lotion for only $4.26! So $17.50 worth of products for $4.26!

Overall for the day I got $29.50 worth of items for $6.39 after tax!

Our new renter is scheduled to move in on June 1, so we are working hard to get the house completely ready for them. We spent all weekend working on a new maintenance-free deck and lots of cleaning. It was a looooonnng weekend...lol.

MO is over half done on the deck and I got nearly all of the cleaning done. We are having his sister who does cleaning come in to finish up a few things this week.

We also found out the hot tub had a leak so we had someone come in to fix that. $$$$$

Meanwhile we are eating out like madness while we are in town working on the rental (an hr away from our home) and also paying for food/drinks for family and friends that have been helping with the deck. I am sure we spent over $200 on food and beer this weekend....ugh! Hopefully the hemorrhaging of money will be over soon and I can share some before and after pics of the deck!

We have a renter for Rental #2! They signed the lease yesterday and paid $1500 deposit which I put into a new separate savings account. They aren't moving till June 1st for us to work on some updates and cleaning. I am so excited that we got someone in there so quickly!

We are now going to be getting $300 more per month in rent then we were before! So that will be an extra $300 in savings every month!!!!

Just a small update to savings. I took the leap and posted my old house for rent onto public FB sites this last weekend. I was hoping to rent to a friend or family member, but we didn't find anyone, so had to open it up to the public. This was my personal house that I lived in for 8 years, and then now rented to a family friend and my BIL for the last 2 years....so I am very nervous to have a stranger in there!

I posted it on Thursday night and had tons of responses, MO showed it all weekend and we already have 3 separate applicants who want it. We have decided on one and MO has set up a meeting with them for this evening to sign a lease and move in starting June 1. That will give us 30 days to get some minor repairs done, and also have some major cleaning done as I had no lease with friend/BIL and the cleaning that was done is not good enough to have someone move in.

So far things are going very smoothly so hopefully that continues! Also with our Property Management that we do for my parents 4 unit, we had a tenant moving out and had to find a new one for that. We did find a new renter and got them in and settled for May 1, feels good to be getting all these vacancies filled!

I had my yearly eye exam and ordered contacts. I usually do every other year glasses, and every opposite year contacts. My exam was free with my health insurance and I had a $200 allowance for my eye wear. My contacts came out to $201 for 18 month supply.....so total OOP was $1!

I always try to get my apt. earlier in the calendar year so that I don't forget about the benefit, or run out of time to use it during the busy holiday season.
