Moving on to the kitchen with my cleaning/purging/organizing quest. Probably won't get too into it till mid September when we are done with the rummage sales for the year.
Started with an easy cupboard, the tupperware cupboard. We are BIG on leftovers and use them almost everyday. Didn't have anything to get rid of in here, but got it all tidied up.

Ok so here is the deal I was planning to do on the Herbal Essences:
Herbal Essences Shampoo or Conditioner 10.1oz
Regular Price $3.99 each
Sale Price 2/$5 ($2.50 each)
-$2.50 Mfr BOGO Free coupon
*$1.00 EB for buying 2 (limited to 1 per card)
= $1.50 for 2, or .75 per bottle
But here is the deal I acually ended up getting
Regular Price $3.99 each (Bought 22 bottles, $87.88 total)
Sale Price 2/$5 ($2.50 each, $55.00 total)
-$54.89 ($4.99 x 11) BOGO Free coupons
*Receive $11 EB ($1 for every 2 bottles purchased)
Final Price $10.89 Money Maker!!
(Keeping 2 for myself and selling the other 20, marked for $2.00 each for the rummage sale)
If I sell them all that would be a profit of $40.00 (20 bottles x $2.00)+$10.89 = $50.89!!
*ETA - Sold 11 bottles for $2.00 each at 8/23/13 rummage sale
*ETA - Sold 7 bottles for $2.00 each at 9/5/13 rummage sale
*ETA - Sold 2 bottles for $2.00 each on 6/16/14 on FB
Total Profit = $50.89!!
I was only planning on getting 2 bottles for the .75 each since you were only supposed to get the EB deal once per card, and the coupon should have taken off $2.50. But the coupons ended up taking off $4.99 instead of $2.50 and for some reason the EB printed everytime I bought 2, instead of just the once!
So I came out with 22 bottles of shampoo conditioner and I made $10.89!! SUPER DEAL!
I had about 20 of the BOGO Free coupons, I used 11 and gave the rest to my Mom and she also cashed in on this deal.

I received a mailer yesterday from Verizon advising that I need to re-validate my employement status to keep my discount on the account. I went on to their website and completed the validation to keep my 21% discount! If you have Verizon be sure to check with them if your employer offers any kind of discount through them, I believe they have 100's of businesses that they give discounts to (discount varies by employer), and all you have to do is validate your employement with them occasionally (I think the last time I had to do this was at least 2-3 years ago).

Normally the only time I move my inventory is with the rummage sales, but today I made a sale to a co-worker and made $8.00!
They asked if I had any coupons for Renu Contact Solution, which I did and I gave to them, but then I let them know I had some for sale as well for $4.00 per bottle and they asked for 2!
These sell for $6.99 each at Target, so a good deal for both of us!
I will add the $8.00 to the Mortgage Checking Account.

Check out these cute little riders I found that someone was throwing out! They just need a little soap, water and elbow grease and they will be ready for a kiddo to take a ride! Blows my mind what people throw out....I was driving home and they were sitting on the curb next to the garbage dumpster so I scooped them up. All the light and sound effects buttons still work too! Plan on putting about $5.00 on the Thomas the Tank Engine one, and then maybe $3.00-$4.00 on the others.
*ETA - Sold Thomas for $5.00, Mater for $5.00, and the blue one for $3.00 at the 8/23/13 rummage sale! (I decided to junk the carseat cause it was grossy dirty)

I received an email at work that they are offering a new program to the first 500 employees that sign up. It is called Newtopia and it is to increase wellness (my work is very big on the health and wellness of their employees). I signed up for the program right away. It is completely free as my employer is paying for the entire cost of the program, when I registed it showed the cost for the year is over $1200! It is $99.00 a month plus the cost of the supplies, and for me it is FREE! YEAH! A healthcoach will be contacting me soon to help me set up and reach my goals. I got a box in the mail yesterday with my start up supplies including a large canister of whey protein, a fancy pedometer that sends your results to them electronically, a measuring tape and a saliva test that I send back to them so they can give me an initial assessment of different levels (cholestorol etc, I believe).
They also emailed me some smoothie recipes for the protein. Today I went to the grocery store and got some fruit, flaxseed, orange juice and almond milk to use for the smoothies. I plan on having them for breakfast as I am really bad at skipping breakfast. I made one tonight and it is chillin in the freezer for now.
Also I think I forgot to mention on here, but I am not eating fast food for 30 days. I started that on 7/14/13. I already lost 3lbs! It's not much, but it's a start!

Summer money shortage is hitting harder then I thought it would.....on the plus side, we are working hard at not eating out as much now that we are back from vaca. I challenged myself to no fast food for a month, and have not had any in 4 days. It's going good so far.
I borrowed some money to a friend, they are going to be paying me back $60 a week till it's paid back and then I can put that back into savings.

Got a few things done on the home improvements front today. My Dad came over and helped DH cut down a few small trees that had sprung up on their own in the backyard and also put our shed doors back on. They had come off in a bad wind storm a few months ago. Glad to have those things back in order.

Capital One 360 (formerly ING Direct) is running a special right now where you get $76 for opening a new savings account with them, and if you already have an account you can refer your friends to get the special $76 bonus! I sent out a bunch of feelers to my friends and fam, so hopefully a few will start their savings journey and help me on mine too!
