Bro is refinancing too :)

Went with my bro and sil to the bank today to see about getting them refinanced. They were in a 30 yr loan for 5.3% and also had a small 2nd mortgage (I think like only $5K or $6K) for 6%. They are going to be able to roll them both together now, and go down to a 15 yr for 2.87%! YEAH!! Happy for my bro and very proud of their credit scores that helped them get that great rate. Now when my Godson turns 18 his parents house will already be paid off. Smile

    Wow--I'm all about the 15-year mortgage. That's what made our payoff more possible.

    Yeah it is a great rate! DH and I got 2.75% for our 10 year. Our family is all about being debt free. My parents are both in their mid 50s and have over 8 rental properties that are all paid off.
