Dog Clipper Purchase- Puppy Pictures!

We have 2 English Springer Spaniel girls, they are our babies! Here are a couple pics of their unbelievable cuteness!

Spa day for the girls is $100+ each which includes a bath, haircut, nail trim, etc. MO decided to buy a pet trimmer and try to do the haircuts himself, which would save us a LOT of money. The trimmer was $65 + $15 for a two year warranty. Hoping it works for him to do the trimming as that would save us about $800 a year! We shall see how it goes. Smile

    Our grooming trips were also about $120, but that was for both. I recently started grooming our GSD/husky myself as well (the lab doesn't need it). Right now, I just use scissors. And everyone still thinks she looks great. It's obvious to me that it's a chop job, but no one else seems to notice. We did purchase a nail clipper though. I was actually surprised at how patient they were the first time I cut their nails.

    As the weather gets nicer, we plan to get a kiddie pool and bathe them ourselves every couple of weeks in the backyard.

    Thanks I think they are pretty darn cute myself! MO trimmed up the bigger gal, Reigny, yesterday. I agree with Debt-Free it looks like a chop job a bit to me, but still 1000x better then she looked when she needed the haircut so bad (pic above is a few days before hair cut). She looks about 20lbs lighter once we get her trimmed up. We haven't done the baby yet, and that may be more challenging as she isn't used to the process yet. Hopefully she gets trimmed up by next week!!

    I love spaniels. Your husband will get better with the trimmers the more he uses them. It takes practice, like most things.
