HUGE BOOST to savings!! The casinos finally reopened here and MO took a little guys trip with his Dad and Bro and came home up $1000! So exciting! We also received the payouts from our Hospital Indemnity Plans for both me and Hope. We used mine to pay medical bills and fill in for the reduced pay while I was on maternity leave. We are able to put all of Hope's into savings for now.
We are getting a new air conditioning system for our house this week, that bill will be huge (we are estimating $10K (BOOOO!!!). Unfortunately with the newborn we can't continue in this heat, and need a permanent solution. Our house is large (4000 sq ft) and was built in the 70s. We are getting a mini split (the house has baseboard heating, so no duct work to be able to put in central air) and this should increase the value of our home as well. So the $20K milestone will be short lived and sadly we are going to go waaaaay down, but so thankful we are able to make this much needed improvement to our home using savings and without having to take on any new debt!
