We had to take my car in AGAIN and I was worried that this would be the end of the road for my car as we don't want to put anymore money into repairs on it....MO went to pick it up and the mechanic said it was a minor part repair and he fixed it for free! He didn't even charge us for the part! I guess our loyal business finally paid off...lol! Just a little bump to savings here.
Also we were going to go to Laughlin next week, but our trip ended up getting cancelled as the flight was not full. This was disappointing since the flights, hotel, etc were all free. We decided to book Vegas instead since we already had the time off of work. We have to pay for flights to Vegas, but it was only $200 total for both of us, there and back. So that's not bad. Hotels will still be free. Plus we have $675.00 in free casino play in Vegas, so we should be able to turn the free play into enough real money to cover the flight cost. This was a spur of the moment trip and will be the last one till at least March since MO start bball coaching in a few weeks.

$904.77 paid off in the last 2 weeks!!!
So happy that getting under $500K for total debt is getting more and more achievable! Savings is going good and payments are rolling us down quickly! So many great celebrations on this update!
In not so fun news - My car (the vehicle we both try to use the most for low gas mileage) that we just spent something like $1000 on in repairs is down again. We just drove it out of town, 4 hrs each way, all in one day, and it ran great and was totally fine. Then two days later we get in to go to dinner and the power steering is out (again) and smoking. We just had that repaired about 4 weeks ago. MO is going to talk to the mechanic and see if we can get it fixed for free since their repair wasn't satisfactory. If not I think it's time to say goodbye for good. We have 3 other vehicles, so we won't need to deal with any replacement costs, but still sad to see my car of 9 years bite the dust.
Also we decided to do an impromptu trip to Laughlin at the end of Sept. MO starts coaching in October and that takes up all of his time till March, so we decided to get in one more trip this year. We go on a lot of group and family trips, this time it's just going to be the two of us, so that will be nice.

Celebrations for this update:
-$682.26 paid off in the last 2 weeks!
We were only $203.91 from going under the next $1000 mark, and this would be the 6th update in a row, so I considered just throwing the extra $205 against my mortgage (the only debt we can easily make extra payments on), but decided since that isn't our focus right now to just hold onto it and stick with the plan.
I'm receiving a $600 bonus next payday so hoping to put that whole amount in savings as cash flow finally seems to be leveling out after vaca.

Coed Softball starts Monday, so we should most if not all of the $270 fees reimbursed to us at that time to put back into savings.
We had to take $1600 out of savings to cover a high monthly credit card bill with vehicle repairs, some food costs from the Vegas trip and just too much eating out. I did make a big grocery trip this week and have gotten back into cooking now after a few weeks off of it with vacation, so hopefully that will rein in the next monthly credit card bill.

We are back from Vegas! We didn't win big, but we didn't get our booties kicked either. Our flights, 7 day hotel stay (and our families rooms as well), lots of food, about $300 in gaming, poolside cabana (and $1000 poolside food/alcohol bill) were all comped. It was nice to be able to share some of our comps with my inlaws as well as they are always willing to help us out with watching our puppy girls. We also had a limo ride to and from the airport, a fancy BD dinner at Paris for my SIL's 21st BD, a ride on the High Roller, zipline on Fremont St., a tour of the Mob Museum, some of our group also went to The Blue Man Group, some to Penn and Teller, and my fave was Cher Concert on the last night! It was a great trip and had a lot of fun with hubby and his family. We probably won't go back this year, but we don't have kids so sometimes we go impromptu, so we shall see. With the amount we played through we will be able to get free rooms, etc for the rest of 2017 and 2018 as well.
Now on to financial business! We are right on track to be able to pay off the Mom Loan in Dec. We "could" pay it off now, but we need to have enough to pay off the loan, have our renters deposits in savings in case someone moved out, and have a little EF. Total we need is about $21,750, right now we have about $17K so we need to save another $5K by Dec. That would be a fabulous paydown, and we would blow past the $500K mark. I can't wait! So time to put our nose to the grindstone and get that last bit into savings!
Celebrations for this update:

We leave for Vegas tomorrow! YEAH!!!!!
Due to previous trips, we have a lot of comps that will help us cover a lot of the costs.
-This trip is for my SIL's 21st BD, so my in-laws generously purchased the flight tickets for all of their kids and spouses as a Christmas present, so the flight is free!
-We are staying 4 nights at Harrah's properties which MO gets free nights at based on previous play. MO was able to get the rest of the family/friends discounts on their rooms at Harrah's. We are also staying 3 nights on Fremont St. and we have free rooms at several hotels there, so we were able to get the entire group free there!
-We are going to go to a BD dinner for SIL and we have $100 dinner voucher for that, so that should be close to free for me and MO(expensive restaurant, plus drinks + tips, we may have to pay a tiny bit OOP).
-We also have $100 worth of free food vouchers for Fremont St.
-We are bringing 2 $50 giftcards for Outback Steakhouse which we redeemed from our Discover Cashback Rewards (Free!), not sure if we will use both of those, but at least one as there is an Outback on the strip so that will cover another meal. We also got an extra $50 GC to give to my in-laws as a thank you for paying for the flights.
-The rest of our meals we will do a lot of slices of pizza or grabbing a sandwich at Subway or McDonalds or other cheap options. We are movers and shakers, so won't do too many sit down or expensive meals.
-All drinks are free while we gamble!
-Lastly we have a couple hundred in free slot play. When we get free play we always play it through, which is required, and as soon as we have played it through we cash it out and put it in our winner pocket to go home, so we should get at least a little something back from that, and maybe more!
So other then gambling, this should be a decently cheap vacation. We do both love to gamble (hence all of the comps), but we have a good strategy to always pocket our winners, so hopefully we have a little luck and come home with some good $$$!
