Today is two weeks since I delivered our twins. It feels like minutes ago, and also an eternity ago.
Both MO and I are doing our best to stay busy and stay positive. It can be a struggle every second... and then I find a few hrs here and there of calm. I wish so hard I could find a way to keep being "ok". When I find those small breaks where I feel "ok" it feels so wonderful to not feel completely destroyed.
We had my postpartum visit a few days ago. No answers as to why I went into pre-mature labor as the pregnancy was 100% healthy up till then, and I had just had a regular OB apt 10 days prior to going into labor, and there were no issues or red flags at all.
So I am very scared that if I am ever lucky enough to get pregnant again, that the same thing could happen, since they don't know the cause, therefore no way to help prevent.
I have a few family and friends who have been making sure I am still breathing. My Mom, my BF and MO have been awesome. MO especially, he is obviously dealing with his own loss and grief with this, but he still holds me up everyday, and his goal is to get me to laugh and smile at least once a day, which he has accomplished each day...which in itself is a miracle.
I am so incredibly lucky to have him, and that really does keep me going through each terrible minute.
Also my two dogs have been an enormous help. They know mama is so sad (and some part of me thinks that they miss and mourn the babies too) and they comfort me every chance they get with cuddles and kisses. Dogs are simply amazing.
Thank you to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. We are doing our best to continue on for our babies and be the kind of parents they would be proud of. One day and one step at a time.

I’m so so sad to share this news, but as you all know, after many years of waiting my husband and I were expecting twins. We now have two angel babies watching over us.
💗Ember Lynne 👼
💙Bridger John 👼
At 21 weeks I unexpectedly went into labor and was hospitalized. They were able to stop my labor and put me on 100% inverted bedrest. We did everything we could possibly do to keep our sweet babies safe in my tummy. After 11 days of hospitalization, constant monitoring and full bedrest, I went into labor again at 22 weeks and 5 days and they weren’t able to stop it this time.
We lost both of our babies. 💔 Bridger’s heart rate was lost sometime in the night, he is very handsome and was our first sweet angel. Ember was born and we got to hear her cry, she was taken to the NICU and she fought hard for about 4hrs before they took her off the ventilator because there was nothing more they could do for her. We got to hold her as she passed and our baby girl princess was our second angel. I lost a lot of blood after I delivered them and became unresponsive so they had to take me to the OR and do a blood transfusion. My husband stayed with Ember while I was in the OR and she even grabbed his finger. They were both little fighters from the start. We are obviously completely heartbroken. The outpouring of love and support from friends and family has been overwhelming and so appreciated. They are missed and loved more then they will ever know.
💗💙💗💙💗💙💗💙💗💙💗
💗Ember Lynne 👼
💙Bridger John 👼
My husband stayed with me in my room every single night, I dont know what I would do without my wonderful husband being my rock through all of this and making sure I knew he was always there no matter what I needed and how lost I was/am feeling.

We had our gender reveal party last night and we are having one BOY and one GIRL!!!
We are so excited, everyone was hoping for one of each, but I am shocked that it turned out that way!
Everything went great and we all had a wonderful time!
I also signed up for a Red card with Target as they do free shipping (which is great cause I am an hr away from the nearest Target) and you get 5% back on Target purchases! When I signed up I got a coupon for $25.00 off a $100.00 purchase coupon. I combined that with a baby sale they were having for $20 Target GC when you spend $100.00, plus the 5% back on the Red Card, plus free shipping, plus $65 in giftcards that we got as gifts....and I got 1000 diapers for only $24!!! That's only .02 per diaper! I made sure to stay away from the teeny tiny sizes and got a few boxes each of the bigger sizes. Hopefully they work for my babes, but if for some reason they don't, they were cheap enough that I should be able to get my money back if I need to sell them on FB.

Yesterday was a long day of medical apts. From 7:45am till 3:00pm we were in and out of Drs. apts allllll day!
We had extensive ultrasounds for both babies and everything looked great! They are both measuring about the same size (roughly the size of a can of pop each) so that is also wonderful news. Both babies were dancing around a lot. We got the envelopes with the babies genders, they are sealed and we will be doing a small gender reveal next week with immediate family. We are so excited!!
I had diabetic training (major family history of diabetes, so no surprise I am a prime candidate for gestational diabetes). My Dr. let me know there wasn't anything I could have done differently to prevent this so that made me feel better. I am 20 weeks now and have only gained 9lbs (with twins!) so I am happy with my weight gain so far, and they were not concerned with my weight at all, but only with my blood sugar levels. All we can do is do our best with diet and exercise to treat it to keep me and babies healthy. So I got my meter and also went to the pharmacy for test strips and lancets. We met our OOP Max for the year way back in May, so won't have to pay anything for the visits or Rx.
I also got my flu shot for the year too, again free. We took MO to CVS to get his flu shot, but they were out, so he will need to wait till next week. We had some time to kill between apts so we went to Goodwill and MO was able to find 2 pairs of shorts for next year for $3.50 each and one pair of workpants for $5.00. I have been looking for maternity coat options, but did not want to spend a ton of money on a coat I would only be wearing for a few months. I was super excited to find a really cute coat that I can wear this winter to cover up the babes. My current coat is getting a bit hard to zip! The coat probably won't last me for the whole pregnancy as it is still a regular coat, just a much bigger size, not maternity, but it was only $6.99 so I was very excited!
I also found a Peanuts PJ set that was new with tags for $14.99, and it was only marked for $1.99 ($2.12 after tax) so I got that for resell. I plan to mark that for $6.00.
*ETA - Sold for $6.00 on FB on 11/25/18
Profit = $3.88

Alright I think we are back to being accurate on our total now. We took two trips in the last two weeks. One to Minneapolis to watch the second to last MN Twins game of the season. While we were there we also got to visit some of my in-laws and they gave us a changing table, swing and some other baby gear! Then last weekend we went to Deadwood with my BIL and some friends. We took the new truck both times to fit all the people and all the stuff and gas really adds up on that as opposed to my little Malibu! We are trying to get what trips we can in now before baby time! Planning for one more long weekend trip in November and then after that I don't plan to travel anymore as I will be almost 7 months with the twins by then!

Lots of little snow flakes adding up!
I was called for Jury Duty, and did make it onto the Jury, but there were about 5 extra jurors, so once everyone was seated, they let the last 5 in the row go. I was excited for jury duty, I thought it would be really interesting! I was happily surprised that I got a check even though I didn't actually have to serve.
We finally got the rent check from Rental #2, so I will get money moved around and be able to update savings soon once I get everything situated.

We have some things up in the air right now, so this isn't completely accurate, but I wanted to track as best I can until everything is square. One of our renters pays by automatic payment through their bank, so typically we get their rent check from their bank around the 2nd of the month. We never got the check this month, so we are waiting for them to send us a replacement check. In the meantime we had to pull from savings to cover the missing rent so that we could pay our mortgages. We also have a $300 check for a partial payment for one of our other renters deposits, but they asked us to hold the check for now, hopefully we can get that cashed and into savings soon.

$853.84 paid off in the last 2 weeks!!!
Things are (kind of) settling down here. We have our new renter into Rental #1 so that is good news. I am a little worried that she is going to be a problem as she is a little "floopy". I think that is a word from Phoebe on Friends...but you get the idea...lol. But she has made 2 of the 3 payments on her deposit, and paid October rent so hopefully she will be good. We (and by we I me MO) did a lot of minor repairs and painting to get the house ready for her and we also had an egress window put in, which was a big bite out of savings. In the long run the repairs are good as they do increase the value of the property, but I am feeling stressed about not having enough in savings right now with babies on the way. I am working on shifting my mindset on money/savings/debt to accept it as it is.
No new news on babies yet, my next apt is in about 2 weeks and hoping to find out genders then! I am feeling good, some nausea, morning sickness, tiredness and random swelling or aches, but nothing major or unexpected at all. We continue to be blessed by friends and family with hand-me-down baby goods and will probably not need to buy any baby furniture or big items other then possibly car seats. This is great cause then we can save our money for all the diapers..lol.

My Mom had a little rummage sale at her place last weekend. Since this is an hr away from me, and I am pregnant with twins..lol...I didn't want to bring down too much stuff for the sale. I tried to grab items that haven't been moving to quickly up where I live, as well as fall/winter items that would be in demand now. I only filled up the back seat of my car and my trunk on my Malibu, so it wasn't much. The sale as a whole made $942.55, which is great for a quick pop up sale! The large majority of that was my Mom's, but we did make a little for us for savings too which is great! I am happy my Mom was able to get rid of a lot of items!

Well we had to add some debt to our race as we purchased a new vehicle to fit our growing family!
I AM PREGNANT!!!!! WITH TWINS!!!!
After 11 years of dealing with infertility, I am finally expecting for the first time in my life! We are over the moon happy!!
Babies are expected around Jan/Feb 2019. We had another ultrasound a few days ago and both babies look great and are right on track. Only issue is I did test positive for gestational diabetes, but that was not a surprise as my entire family has diabetes, so I was a prime candidate for that. Meeting with nutritionist soon to get that under control.
Obviously we will have a lot of financial changes that will come with the babies. For now we are getting what we can for hand me downs from friends and family (my SIL basically emptied out her entire basement into our truck, cause her youngest is 4 y/o and she hasn't gotten rid of ANY baby stuff, so she just wanted it all out of there!) and also watching for good deals on FB and at rummage sales. We don't know gender yet, so haven't been getting a lot of clothes, but I do have a double stroller, swings, bouncers, pack and play, some diapers, high chair, 2 cribs, changing table, and a bunch of other baby gear already.
We purchased a Ford F-150 Lariat Ecoboost, this will be big enough for us to fit two adults, two car seats, our 2 dogs, and all of our stuff (luggage, softball bags, dog kennels, baby stuff, etc.) can go in the truck bed. Since we live an hr from town, whenever we go anywhere we usually have to bring the dogs and all the junk, so we needed something with a lot of room, and I didn't want to have to be climbing into the back of a mini van or SVU to dig out kennels and pack and plays etc. We love the truck and are not driving it much at all until babies get here. We are happy that everyone will be safe and comfortable. We will keep driving our old vehicles until we need the room. My Mom was generous enough to loan us money again. We added the $26K for the truck onto the current Mom Loan, but I did separate out the lines so I can see when we actually finish Mom Loan #2 (HELOC) and start paying on Mom Loan #3 (Truck). Our payment will not change on the loan at this time, once we have a better budget idea for when the babies are here, we may change our payment.
