We finally got my walls repaired and painted in my old house (Rental #2). XH had punched about 7 different holes in the walls on different occasions when he was drunk...and then never even fixed them. They are probably 3-4 yrs old, soooooo happy to finally have them repaired, kind of physically hiding some of the scars of my past. MO's Aunt has a painting and drywall company so she did the work and only charged $850 to repair and paint my very high ceiling entryway, kitchen, living room, stairwell, hallway and bathroom. It looks great! And one stop closer to being able to get a renter in the upstairs of the house. All that is left is new carpet in the living room, finishing moving misc items, and a deep cleaning.
I also got a $650 bill from some physical therapy claims I had this summer from a softball injury. That bill I will pay from my HSA.
MO won the football pics last week! He actually tied for first, and then they tied on the tie breaker, so he won $35 instead of $70.
Current Balance $12,230.00
-$850.00 Painting bill for Rental #2

This weekend we got a Uhaul and moved my furniture from my old house an hr away to the new house. It was a very exhausting day for sure! We added about another 20 boxes to the already roomful we still have to unpack. Why do we have so much crap I have been selling stuff daily on FB and made another $80 last week on FB sales. We also got rent from all 4 of our renters and were able to put another $600 in savings, which got us to $12K!
In other news, we are still waiting for a bill from AC install at Rental #2, Electrician bill for hot tub rewiring at our house, electrician bill for heating repair at our house, and once my CC due date gets here we have to pay for my property taxes....so that is the fun we are expecting soon!
MO (My one) has gotten on board with me to do a 21 day fix! I am super excited that he is on board. We both need to lose some weight, we had a major "honeymoon" phase when we started dating and both gained about 20lbs. I have a lot of workout DVDs, so I wrote them all done on scraps of paper and put them in a bowl, 18 totals workouts (P90X3 workouts, some Shape DVDs, 21 Day Fix workouts) and had MO draw one today...P90X3 The Warrior...waita ease into things.....LOL! Monday morning he got up with me at 5am, we did The Warrior workout, had Shakeology for breakfast and he is armed with a grocery list to bring home. He also said he is going to buy a gallon jug of water and use that to measure his water intake. I am so proud of him/us! He is hoping to lose 20lbs and I am hoping to lose 10/15lbs. Would love to have that much off before the holidays start!
Today was day 3, we weighed in this morning and between the 2 of us, we are down 18.5lbs!!! Crazy!
And now on to FB sales...sold another $80 in junk this week! So happy to be making our house less cluttered and putting some $$ in our pockets!

MO wasn't feeling well for a few days last month and went into the clinic. We got the bill a few days ago, $227.70. I called to pay it from my HRA and they OFFERED a 10% discount if we paid in full! So we got a discount of $22.70! Nice to see something good for paying your bills on time! I paid the bill from my HRA account. I still have $10,300 remaining in that HRA account.
I completed our Open Enrollment for my health insurance today. Sadly I did not meet the metabolic testing requirements so I have a higher premium then last year. My premium will be $54.50 a paycheck for me and MO. Hopefully when they re-test later this year I will meet it and that would lower the premiums a bit. My employer will contribute $800 to the HRA in Jan, so that will be a nice bump to that account!

As MO and I are still unpacking and organizing, I am making sure we have a central place for important items that we don't want to lose! I bought this AMAZING cute desk and file cabinet set (Wish I could post a pic for you!) it is painted turquoise and distressed look, the top has an old tan world map imposed onto it....hard to describe without seeing it, but trust me it's adorable! The file cabinet is also wooden and painted the distressed turquoise, and it has a mail holder built into the top and the slots are perfect to used to keeping all of our giftcards. We have a lot of them floating around right now since we received quite a few for wedding gifts, as well as random ones from before.

We have a Uhaul rental set up to move my furniture from Rental #2 (My old house) to our new home on Nov 1. Lots of packing up and purging to do before then! I have been unpacking MO's stuff and putting tons of stuff for sale on FB to get ready of misc items that we do not need. Made about $30 this week selling what I would call "junk" (Don't tell MO I call it that!) LOL! I also packed and moved my shoes to the new house, and managed to part with 6 prs, 3 to the trash, and 3 to sell. I sold one so far. It always feels so good to get rid of unneeded/unused items!
Nov will be our first month paying 3 mortgages. Saying that makes me feel a little nervous, but with the renters we have, we are actually only paying $500 OOP total for all 3 mortgages, so as long as everything goes fine with our renters we should be smooth sailing.
I am also changing my car insurance and home insurance to be added to MO's and will have some small savings with that. MO is having Escrow taken off of Rental #1, so that payment will go down, and we should also get a refund check to put into savings.
Working about 10hrs a week of OT (my job has unlimited OT) so that helps the bottom line as well.

All of our little snowflakes to savings are adding up quickly! We had a few more rebates come in from beer purchased for the wedding. For coed softball we paid the players fees upfront back in August, and then the players reimbursed us. The last player reimbursed us this week, and since we already covered that cost months ago we were able to just put that $30 in savings. A few FB sales, MO's payday, and apparently I either added wrong or forgot to add in a few deposits, so I corrected the balance.
Current Balance $10,670.00
+$12.00 Budweiser Rebate

Now that all the craziness is simmering down (still have a lot of boxes to unpack, but we are going in the right direction!) I am trying to get back into FB Sales. I want to get back into posting a few items a day. I had a few sales this week and have quite a few items up for sale, so that is good. Goal is to consistently sell a few things a day, keep the money coming in with out being overwhelmed by it. Trying to work on the items I bought to sell, as well as getting rid of misc. items we found in the move.
Sale #256 (AS) $7.00
Columbia Fleece - From MO's Closet
Sold for $7.00
Profit = $7.00
Sale #257 (SDC) $3.00

Sale #258 (HC) $3.00

As if I needed another reason to LOVE my Discover Card....a few weeks ago I called them to change my name since I got married last month. Not only was the process painless (as is everything with their customer service!) but now I received a wedding card in the mail from the rep that helped me change my name and address, a very sweet note from them, as well as a $15 Discover Giftcard! I have had a Discover as my credit card of choice since I was 17 and will be a happy and loyal customer for life!

I would like to sell my old wedding set. I have never sold any jewelry before, so I am looking for any suggestions on where/how to do so. I checked with the retailer where the set was purchased from (Zales) and they stated that they do not buy back jewelry, but that they would use it as part of an exchange it for an item of double the value paid for the rings. So the ring was $5000, XH paid cash so they discounted down to $3500. So Zales will give me $3500 credit towards a $7000 purchase. If I was in the market for more jewelry, then I would say this isn't a terrible deal, but I don't need anymore jewelry, and certainly not $7K worth!
I also went to a pawnshop, just to get an idea on what they would pay....$400! UM no thanks!
MO also tried to look online about selling it, but that didn't seem to promising either.
I realize I will not get anywhere near what the ring is worth, but I really don't think I would want to sell it for less then $2K. It is a beautiful set, 2 carats total, and I have all of the paperwork for it.

MO mowed his cousin's property out at the lake this summer, and yesterday his cousin gave him a check for $500 for mowing! Sweet! We were only expecting about $300, so this was a great surprise! We also got a small rebate from beer that we had bought for the wedding.
MO and I have been talking about our current goal (paying off the money my Mom loaned us, balance is currently $14,247.50) and how long it would take us to pay her off. Now that we are done with all of the house, wedding, trips, we don't have anything planned for upcoming trips/events. We have been talking about taking a little group trip to Laughlin (we get free flights and free rooms there) with some of MO's family in March. And wouldn't it be nice to have my Mom paid off by then?? We talked it over and we think if we tried really hard we could make it, and that would be a lovely "prize" for paying her off. So are going to work hard to have enough in savings to pay her off, have money for the trip, and still have a little left in savings for EF, then when we get home, we will start over again on savings, and would only have HELOC, store loan, and mortgages left. We are going to cut eating out and gambling as much as we can. I went grocery shopping yesterday and stocked up the pantry some, and I plan on getting some crockpot meals, and maybe even some freezer meals lined up soon. The loan we originally set up with my Mom was for 4 years, so if we could pay it off in 9 months that would be amazing!
Current Balance $10,150.00
+$12.00 Budweiser Rebate
+$8.00 Even Out Amount
+$500.00 MO Lawn Mowing Money

Has anyone else checked out jet.com? It is supposed to be a site where you can get big savings on everything from toilet paper to TVs. I had seen commercials for it, but didn't check it out till today when I got a flyer in the mail for $15 off a $50 purchase. I browsed the site, mostly for the kinds of items I resell (HBA) since I am most familiar with price points for those items. Everything seemed to be about the same as Target prices....has anyone else used this site or had thoughts on their prices? The only item I found for cheaper then I could get buying locally was Beneful Dry Dog Food. MO is the one that buys that, and he said he pays $15+ per bag, it was $13.35 on the website. On the site, the more you buy, the more you save (I am not sure what the equation is for that), so I got an extra $1+ off for buying 4 bags, I used the $15 off $50, and also got free shipping. So for 4 bags of 15.5lb Beneful it came to $37.05, $9.26 per bag! So we saved over $6 per bag which is a great deal for a product we need, but without the flyer/coupon prob wouldn't have ordered from them.
